Mid Rise Denim Shorts

Decent fit on me. The waistband sits a little higher on me than I'd like with my usual tops. The rest of the outfit came together easily.

Wore these shorts with a plain crewneck and the sneakers by my front door and almost went back inside to take another picture.

I really like the pockets on the shorts. I could use a little more room at the leg opening.

I didn't think I had an opinion about denim short pockets until I saw how these looked with a tucked shirt. The cuff and the patch detail give them a little more shape than the very plain pair I usually wear. I had them on for a picnic and liked the way the mid rise sat when we all ended up on the grass.

I took these shorts with me on a weekend away because I wanted something that could make the clothes I'd already packed feel a little different, and the patch pockets did exactly that. I liked the outfit with an old graphic tee enough that I wore it again the day after I got back.

I didn't know I wanted the shape of the shorts until I put these shorts on with my own shoes.

The look with my good white sneakers surprised me. I bought these shorts because of the pockets on the shorts and now I love the whole shape.

My favorite part is the patch pockets. I took a star off for one fit thing. I'd use a quieter finish more often for work.

I wore these shorts out for most of the day. The fit still felt good on the way home.

I meant to save these shorts for a night out, but I tried them with a striped sweater just to check how it looked and wound up going to meet a friend for breakfast in the outfit instead. Honestly I had a nicer afternoon because I felt good in what I was wearing.
